Rutland Health PCN has announced that the first COVID-19 vaccination has been given to 89.6% of the 2753 patients aged over 80 in Rutland.

We were thrilled to receive some good news at the very start of 2021! Jacqui Darlington, our Vice Chair was awarded a British Empire Medal in the New Year’s Honours list, for services to the community in Rutland.

Rutland’s COVID-19 vaccination programme commenced in December 2020 and is focused currently on priority group 1 of over 80’s, care home residents and workers, and some NHS frontline staff.

GP practices and pharmacies across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland will operate at different times than usual over Christmas and New Year 2020/21.

As 2020 draws to a close, we would like to thank our volunteers, staff, and those that shared their views with Healthwatch Rutland during this difficult year.

The Covid-19 vaccination programme in Rutland is planned to start on December 21st 2020, subject to delivery of the first batch of the vaccine.

Rutland Health Primary Care Network has been working with partner organisations on provision of Covid-19 vaccination for patients.
