CQC rates Oakham Medical Practice as 'Good'

The Care Quality Commission’s 6-month follow-up inspection of Oakham Medical Practice has moved the practice from ‘inadequate’ to ‘good’ overall, taking it out of special measures.
Doctor and Patient

The inspection was carried out on 29 November 2022 and the findings recognise the significant improvements that have been made to the quality of care provided by the practice.

This inspection in November 2022 was a comprehensive inspection including a site visit to review progress with the action plan the provider had put in place following the last inspection in April 2022. The practice is now rated as ‘good’ overall and also across the key domains of effective, caring, responsive to people's needs and well led, with the safe domain remaining rated as 'requires improvement'.

Staff have worked hard over the last few months to achieve this significant improvement in the rating and the practice assures patients that it will continue to action the additional recommendations made in the follow-up report.
