Urgent care – talk before you walk

As part of the initial response to the Covid-19 outbreak some urgent care centres were closed in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. A phased reopening has now started.

The phased reopening started and the centre at Rutland Memorial Hospital in Oakham opened on Saturday 6 June. For the time being it will operate weekends only 9am-7pm.

In order to keep staff and patients safe, the “talk before you walk” approach is being used and an appointment is necessary. If you need urgent care, then please call NHS 111 or your GP first.

A clinician will decide if it is appropriate for you to be seen in person and you will be given an appointment. Walk-in service remains suspended.

Two other centres opened from 6 June - Saffron near the centre of Leicester and in Hinckley.
