Unlocking the power of people-driven care: HWR Annual Report 2024-25

Our work over the past year focused on ensuring that the public and patient voice is heard in the development of health and social care services, to meet the needs of the Rutland community.

Our Annual Report highlights the key actions and projects we completed and how we’ve made a difference.

Find out how your feedback and input to our research has helped to influence how health and social care services are provided in Rutland:

  • 1255 people shared their experiences of health and social care services with us, helping to raise awareness of issues and improve care.
  • 1210 people came to us for advice and information about topics such as mental health and how to access NHS dentistry.

Highlights of 2023-2024 included:

  • Calling out the urgent need for better co-ordination between NHS services and improvements to patient-facing communication and administration processes.
  • Bringing to light what is working well and where the gaps are in the provision of information, guidance and support for people who pay for their own social care.
  • Helping you to find the health and care services you need.
  • Involving you in change by using your feedback to inform the development of new models of triage and response in urgent care services.
  • Collaborating with the Rutland Strategic Overview and Scrutiny Committee to hold local NHS commissioners and national Government to account for poor access NHS dentistry for adults in the county.
