Our 2022-2023 Annual Report: Together we're making health and social care better

Our work over the past year has focused on ensuring that the public and patient voice is championed in the development of health and social care services to meet the needs of the Rutland community.

An important part of our work this year has been helping people who approached us for advice and guidance or to give feedback on services. We have listened to their concerns and shared them with decision makers.

Our Annual Report highlights the key actions and projects we completed throughout the last financial year and how we've made a difference. It is a showcase of our impacts on the community and how we have continued to collaborate with partners in health and social care to ensure they listen to your views as they shape services for the future.

Highlights of 2022-2023 included:

  • Understanding your experiences of local urgent and emergency care through Enter and View visits to Leicester Royal Infirmary Emergency Department, Oakham and Corby Urgent Care Centres and Stamford Minor Injuries Unit

  • Using your feedback to make recommendations for improvement to support Oakham Medical Practice.

  • Attending meetings and workshops to bring the Rutland public voice to the development of the Integrated Care Strategy for Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.

  • Making recommendations for improved dementia care and support both across the Integrated Care System and more locally in Rutland.

  • Continuing to call attention to the lack of access to NHS dental appointments in Rutland.
