Christmas Wishes

The board and staff of Healthwatch Rutland thank you for your support and feedback this year, which enables us to champion your health and care needs in Rutland.

We also extend our thanks to the staff and volunteers working across all health and care services for their tireless efforts, often under challenging circumstances, to keep us healthy and well.

Office Closure for the Christmas Break

Please note that the Healthwatch Rutland Office will be closed for Christmas on 22 December and will reopen on 3 January 2024.

Health Advice

If you have a health issue that requires attention, and your GP surgery is closed, you can ring 111 or go to 111 online (or on the NHS app.)

NHS 111 can offer you advice and guidance and direct you to the right service 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

In a life-threatening situation, call 999.

If you need urgent NHS mental health support you can call 0808 800 3302, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Pharmacy Opening

Some pharmacies in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland will be open on the bank holidays over the festive period.

Strike action this season

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced junior doctors’ strike dates which fall either side of the festive period and will have an impact on services:

  • 7am on Wednesday 20 December to 7am on Saturday 23 December

  • 7am on Wednesday 3 January to 7am on Tuesday 9 January
