We hear both nationally, and locally, that people have struggled throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to access NHS dental services. The supply of appointments has been limited due complex factors such as lockdowns, the need for extra precautions and cleaning between patients, workforce issues amongst many. Demand, however, is increasing, with long backlogs of treatment and check-ups in some areas.
