Hiring: Healthwatch Rutland Community Engagement Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team to lead on the development of our volunteer base and to facilitate engagement and involvement of local people in our work.

Hours: Part-time, up to 30 hours per week, working days to be agreed

Salary: £23,000 to £25,000 pro rata

Healthwatch Rutland is the consumer champion for all users of local health and social care services. 

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team to lead on the development of our volunteer base and to facilitate engagement and involvement of local people in our work.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience of recruiting, supporting, developing and motivating volunteers to gather experiences of health and social care effectively
  • Experience of working with different communities and engaging the public, of all ages, both face-to-face and online
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including report-writing
  • Experience with partnership working 

The role is based at our office at Barleythorpe, Oakham, and you will need to be able to travel around the county when coronavirus restrictions are lifted. In the interim the successful candidate will work from home.
