Covid-19 vaccination programme in Rutland

Rutland Health Primary Care Network has been working with partner organisations on provision of Covid-19 vaccination for patients.

There are very specific national directions about how the vaccination program will work and they are not permitted to make any changes. A single site must be provided, which will be in Oakham – pending final approval from NHS England.

Prioritisation for the vaccine is age-based along with some front-line health and social care workers, starting with people over 80.

Please don’t contact your practice at the moment; appointments cannot be made until information on the arrival of the vaccine has been received. You will be contacted when you are eligible for vaccination – one group of patients will need to be completed before moving onto the next.

As plans progress the PCN will publish updates on its website here and provide links to further information once it is available. The PCN will also post information on social media, so please follow the Rutland Health PCN and your practice on Twitter using the following handles @rutlandhealth@UppinghamDoctor and/or @EmpinghamDoctor.
