We are aware that some patients have had difficulties accessing walk-in Urgent Care services at Rutland Memorial Hospital (RMH) following the contract change at the beginning of April.

Following discussions, East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group and Oakham Medical Practice have issued the following statement today in regard to the provision of Minor Injuries Services at Rutland Memorial Hospital in Oakham.

Thames Ambulance Service Ltd (TASL) was commissioned in 2017 to provide Non-Emergency Patient Transfer Services (NEPTS) for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR).

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has given Leicestershire Partnership Trust’s (LPT) an overall rating of “Requires Improvement” in its recently published inspection report.
